Killer E2200 Gigabit Ethernet Controller Driver Updat Windows 7
i tried downloading and installing a new device driver from the killer website for my e2200 ethernet adapter on my gigabit z87-g45 motherboard, and after i rebooted my pc, my ethernet card shows a yellow exclamation mark in win 8 device manager and will no longer allow drivers to be loaded for it.
checking the properties in device manager shows this error: the device is not working properly because windows cannot load the drivers required for this device. (code 31)
i've tried uninstalling the drivers and re-installing the drivers that came on the original cd with my motherboard, and i've tried re-downloading the drivers from the killer web site and nothing works. i've also flashed my motherboard bios to the newest version and that didn't help either.
any thoughts on how this broke and how to fix it? i've never had a device driver lock up a piece of hardware. i'm lost and now have no internet on my desktop pc.

Killer E2200 Gigabit Ethernet Controller Driver Updat Download
Hey guys,
I have a Z97 Gaming 3 (MS-7918) motherboard with Killer E2200 Gigabit Ethernet Controller and running Windows 10.
Windows 10 is forcing an update, but after that update I cannot connect to internet. The Windows problem fixer says there might a problem with the driver for the adapter for Ethernet but won't fix it. I have been busy for hours trying to fix it myself but to no avail. Can someone help out?
I have tried:
-Following this fix: https://www.killernetworking.com/driver-downloads/kb#faq_55 with both the recent and the beta version from the most recent drivers page (https://www.killernetworking.com/driver-downloads), but still no internet.
-Going back to the older version of Windows 10: this fixes the problem, but Windows then forces me to update again and I'm back on square 1.
-Tried unchecking the box 'Killer Bandwith Control' in the adapter properties (some old forum post recommended this), but when I press OK it says an unexpected situation occurred and no changes have been applied.
-Tried using Qualcomm Atheros AR8161 PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet Controller drives to make my computer recognise it as an Qualcomm Atheros instead (some old forum post recommended this because Killer is notorious in causing trouble), but this did not help (after system recovery I am now back to Killer).
Above tries have gotten me nowhere. Note that in Device Manager, the ethernet adapter (Killer) does not show an error, it says it's working. Version of the driver it shows in properties is 9.0.0.46 (31-8-2017).
If you require more information before being able to help, please let me know (and how I can find it). Getting rather desperate here!
Thanks in advance
